The Hindu festival of colors marks the end of winter and heralds the coming of spring. Celebrations of the festival are held throughout the country. During the festival, colors play a unique role. Holi colors were traditionally made from bright spring flowers. The use of natural colors was gradually replaced by chemically processed synthetic colors. Even though synthetic colors can cause multiple health problems like skin allergies, eye irritation, etc. As they take a long time to decompose, artificial colors can also harm the environment.
Considering how harmful the artificial colors are, it is best to buy organic and herbal colors for homes that are made of natural ingredients. Organic Colors and Gulals are easily available in the market. Most of the Natural Gulal is made of plant leaves and spices which are easily available in the kitchen or in the garden.
